June 1, 2018 sees the roll-out of the first overhaul of the OH&S code in Alberta in over 40 years. January 1, 2018, the Alberta Government adopted The Fair and Family-friendly Workplace Act that mandates up to 10 days of job-protected, unpaid, leave per year for those experiencing domestic violence.
